Happy Valentine's Day!

I had promised pictures of my grandmother's Valentine's and pictures you shall get! I truly believe my grandmother was a scrapbooker at heart. She kept a journal, she was the family picture taker and chronicled everything (most of my childhood is recorded due to my grandmother), she kept precious things like these little Valentines. I miss her.

My grandmother's beloved school teacher gave her this one. It's one of my favorites.

Dated 1922. This one makes me think of Mary Englebreit.

Dated 1923. Inside it says, "All for You.  If ther were many, many more, I'd send them all to you; And every heart hangs full of love, On lines of wishes true."

Dated 1928.  Inside it says, "To My Valentine. I'm a robber bold, But not for gold.-- I'm after a Valentine; My quest I'll end, My little friend-- If you'll say you'll be mine." Not sure how a robber relates to a little girl with a teddy bear but there is a picture of a little boy pirate inside.

Dated 1929.

Dated 1926. From Vivien.

Sorry--no date. But I love her all the same.
 Happy Valentine's everyone!
